Hello!
I'm Nicole, a Venezuelan artist, muralist, and illustrator living in Ottawa, Canada.

In 2022, after finishing my career in civil engineering, I realized I wanted to become a muralist. At the time, the only wall I had ever painted was the one in my bedroom. I had always loved drawing and creating, but I never imagined that art could become my career.

That changed when I met a group of local artists who encouraged me to take my work more seriously. Being around them allowed me to learn, experiment, and develop my skills through practice. I began taking on my first commissions, painting murals, canvases, clothing, and furniture, and little by little, art became a full-time part of my life.

One experience that made me appreciate the power of murals even more was volunteering at an orphanage in Venezuela. I spent time painting murals throughout different parts of the institution while sharing with the kids and bringing a little fun and joy into their space through art. It was a meaningful experience that reminded me murals aren't just about transforming walls; they can also transform how people experience and connect with a space.

Since then, my practice has grown in many directions. I work mainly with murals and painting, but I also enjoy creating canvases, illustrations, custom pieces, and live paintings. I've had the opportunity to perform live painting at private events, fundraising events, and community gatherings, as well as participate in collective art exhibitions.

Since moving to Ottawa, I have participated in numerous Art Battles, including special editions such as Art Battle x Canadian War Museum and Art Battle x Operation Come Home. I've also collaborated with local sports organizations, including Atlético Ottawa through live-painting performances, and the Ottawa REDBLACKS, creating a game-day poster for one of their home games.

My work is strongly inspired by imagination, nature, colour, and storytelling, often blending illustration and fantasy with the energy of street art. I'm also passionate about animation and character design, and I plan to explore and develop them further.
My biggest dream is to travel the world painting murals, meeting new people, learning from different cultures, and creating art in places I never imagined I would reach.

For me, every project is another opportunity to keep learning, have fun, connect with people, and turn a blank surface into something magical and meaningful.
